UNISA PROJECT MANAGEMENT COURSE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission requirements

 
Candidates who do not hold a National Senior Certificate may be admitted on the basis of an equivalent qualification or appropriate work experience, specifically with regard to project-type or related work.

Formative assessment and examination admission will comply with UNISA’s formative assessment rules and policies

 

Formative assessment:

Two compulsory assignments must be handed-in before or on the due date. The year mark will comprise ten percent (10%) and the examination mark ninety percent (90%) of the final mark for each of the two modules.
 

Summative assessment:

One/two-hour examination counting 70 marks must be written for each of the two modules. The examination will consist of both multiple-choice and essay-type questions. ln order to pass the course, a student must obtain a final pass mark of at least fifty percent (50%) in each of the two modules. Furthermore, a subminimum of forty-five percent (45%) has to be obtained in the examination in order to pass a particular module with a final mark of fifty percent (50%), given that the student was able to obtain a year mark of a hundred percent (100%).

Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration course is designed prepare students for senior administrative and first line management jobs in both the public and private sectors. This course provides broad exposure to the processes and functions of management and administration within the context of an integrated, holistic organisational approach and a transforming socio-economic organisation.

UNISA DIPLOMA IN AUDITING

Unisa Diploma Internal Auditing

 
Students have until the end of year 2015 to complete the qualification. Students who have not completed the qualification by that time will have to migrate to the Diploma in Accounting Sciences. Students should note that during the course of their studies they would be required to have access to a computer, printer and the internet.
 
Admission Requirements for Diploma In Auditing
 
•To be admitted to study at Unisa you must meet the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification. If you don’t meet these requirements, we will either give you alternative admission opportunities or ask you to follow an extended programme, which means that you will register for limited modules in your first year and receive additional learner support for that year.
•Remember, there may be additional admission requirements based on the qualification you choose. Meeting these criteria does not mean automatic acceptance. Many qualifications have a limited number of places for the year. Each application will be considered individually.

•As an undergraduate student, you must register for, and pass, at least 36 credits (or 3 modules) over two consecutive semesters. If you don’t, you will not be re-admitted to Unisa in 2015.
•From your second year of study, you need to pass a minimum of 48 credits (4 modules) per year/over two consecutive semesters. If you don’t, you won’t be allowed to study further at undergraduate level, unless you complete a one-year certificate programme (NQF level 5) from an accredited university after the year of exclusion.

Unisa Human Resources Diploma


The department of  Human Resource Management has geared itself to provide the most comprehensive mix of qualifications in the field of human resource management, labour relations and HR training and development that are not only at the cutting edge of current best practice, but also allow for a meaningful life-long career path with multiple vertical and horizontal articulation options.

The career-oriented mix of qualifications is made up of specialist undergraduate programmes, i.e. BCom degree and National Diploma focusing on generalist HR competencies, three BTech degree programmes in generalist HR Management and specialist Labour Relations Management and Human Resource Development.

A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning or A Senior Certificate with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning in terms of the NSC or A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning in terms of the NSC.

    * Two (12 credit) modules from their chosen program.

All 48 credits will have to be passed before the student can continue with the Diploma curriculum.

Students who qualify in terms of the statutory requirements but do not meet the additional requirements, may follow Unisa’s alternative pathways or consider applying for a lower level qualification
for which they meet the statutory and additional requirements.

Public Administration and Management is the study of activities in the public sector. It is a subject that deals with topical, real-life issues, such as health, protection, education, housing and the environment. As such, every person will benefit from the study of Public Administration and Management.

The syllabus is new and relevant to the challenges facing South Africa at national, provincial and local government sphere, while due cognisance is also taken of international developments and how these may influence government and related issues. This Programme focuses on the science of Safety Management and the safety responsibilities of both line managers and staff safety practitioners. The programme introduces line managers and safety practitioners to the very basics in safety management. UNISA DIPLOMA IN ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT

Admission requirements: National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an achievement rating of 4 (50%) or better in the language of learning and teaching or Senior Certificate. A student who does not qualify in terms of the statutory or additional requirements, may follow Unisa's alternative pathways or apply for admission to an appropriate vocational higher certificate.

Unisa Student fees

The university will not accept cash or cheques at any of its offices. Cash may, however, still be paid into the university’s bank account, at any Standard Bank branch or at any branch of the South African Post Office.
The government is currently investigating the subsidy for foreign students. Your attention is drawn to the fact that prescribed student fees could increase substantially in th e future. The university reserves the right to charge fees in certain countries in the currency of that country.

Prescribed student fees for 2012

Fees are valid for the 2012 academic year only. Prescribed student fees include registration, examinations (excluding special, sick and supplementary examinations) and admission to discussion classes.
  • Minimum amount payable at the point of registration
    • A minimum amount is payable on registration in respect of each module or paper for which you register.
    • The minimum amount payable on registration is dependent on the number of individual study units for which you register.
    • A minimum initial amount is payable for each module. Students applying for Matriculation Exemption must note that the Matriculation Exemption fee forms part of the minimum fee amount payable.
    • The minimum amount payable on registration will be forfeited should the relevant study unit be cancelled.
    • Note that compulsory miscellaneous fees, where applicable, are also payable on registration. These fees include the levy for students in foreign countries and levies for additional study material. After payment of the initial amount on registration, the outstanding balance must be paid before the relevant dates.
    • All fees must be paid into the correct allocation or else the university will not be able to process your registration.
  • Prescribed student fees
    The levy for students in foreign countries must be paid in addition to the minimum initial payment on registration. A student must be in possession of a student number before registration can be processed or fees paid or deposited into the Standard Bank account. The fees for all fourth-level modules will be charged the same as for honours-level modules.

    Any legal fees that arise due to actions taken by Unisa to collect unpaid student fees will for the account of the student.

The Unisa Diploma In Youth Development is designed to equip you with all knowledge and understanding of youth development especial in developing economies across the globe. Looking at it modules from level 1 to level to you can see that the programme tackles youth development issues from the perspective of development and support.

The Diploma In Youth Development comprises of a eight compulsory module in year one and five compulsory modules for year two. I addition student must choose modules from a list of a list of six courses. Here are some of modules dealt with in the programme:


Commonwealth Values in Youth in Development - Covers democratic and human rights principles, gives a general introduction to the Commonwealth, and provides training in democratic styles of leadership, consensual decision-making, adapting to groups of differing backgrounds or with disabilities, ensuring equal participation by young women, and understanding different values, religions and traditions.

Young People and Society - This course module relates the theory and practice of youth in development work to the social context. It explores differences and commonalities in the transition from child to adult in different societies.

Youth and Health - Drawing on health issues of the region, this module covers sexual health, drugs, nutrition and diet, exercise and healthy living. It also develops skills in fostering relationships with health agencies and NGOs
